Econometric analyses related to Principal European Economic Indicators (PEEIs)-PEEIs are linked to Euro indicators which include additionally more indicators from the above-mentioned domains, certain monetary and financial indicators produced by the ECB as well as some economic tendency surveys and effective exchange rates produced by the European Commission’s DG ECFIN. Euro indicators’ data are available in the “European and national indicators for short-term analysis (Euroind)” domain of Eurostat’s online dissemination database (Eurobase) . The project Promotion of Economic Reforms and Investments in Côte d'Ivoire (ProREI), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI), supports the structural transformation of the Ivorian economy. Fused PNT Analyses based on European Infrastructure - The European Commission is launching a study on the potential use of communication-oriented LEO constellations for the deployment of a complementary PNT service. This approach is normally referred to as Fused PNT. This tender will focus on developing a user terminal prototype and a simulated environment enabling to assess the performance of Fused PNT under a realistic set of propagation conditions and inter-satellite interference. In this procurement, the main goals of the European Commission are: - To develop a software receiver, supporting acquisition and tracking of 3GPP reference signals for Non-terrestrial networks (NTN) - To model multipath channel and intersatellite interference, in order to test the software receiver under the realistic satellite based propagation channel and interferences; - To consolidate and complement the part of the E2E emulator, by adding multipath and intersatellite interference models; - To demonstrate the performance of fused PNT ranging in a representative simulated environment - To validate the acquisition and tracking performance in realistic environment.

Project Implementation Support Unit (PISU) for the JETP South Africa Transnet Decarbonisation Framework Loan - The overall objective of the Project Implementation Support Unit (PISU) is to assist Transnet to achieve the Operation’s objectives and to deliver under the Operation in an efficient, effective, coordinated and sustainable way. The specific objectives of the PISU are to support Transnet during project preparation and implementation of essential infrastructure investments (Schemes) financed by the EIB, while promoting investments in enabling public sector infrastructure, sustainable growth and action on energy, transport and logistics as well as climate change. By doing so, it is expected that the Schemes to be financed will achieve the highest possible compliance levels in terms of environmental and climate readiness, public procurement and technical soundness for the benefit of the country, its people and its environment. Advanced Methods for Y-0 Nowcasting for Energy Balances, Energy Indicators and Individual Energy Flows and Products - The main objectives of this project are: - to develop a refined methodology compared to the previous study based on ARIMA and ESTAT work with ARIMAX, by using suitable econometrics models and machine learning models, tuned for the different fuels, flows and countries, for estimating with high accuracy the ongoing year energy flows and fuels, primary and final energy consumption and annual balance; - to prove for 4 reference years that these estimates have high accuracy for individual fuels and flows in each of the covered countries; - to develop a set of tools Eurostat can use in the future to make these estimates.
