Service Framework Contract for the provision of “Support to European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMAR) Development, Implementation and Training” - The overall objective of this call for tenders is the provision of subject matter expertise to support EDA in managing the activities of the MAWA Forum. More specifically, the expertise shall include: a) an in-depth knowledge of the development and content of the EASA regulations (plus their associated supporting documentation); b) adequate knowledge of military aviation environment, including initial certification and continuing airworthiness procedures to be able to provide the MAWA Forum with the specialist advice and guidance needed; c) an understanding of the implications of any military-specific proposals considered during the development of the necessary documents and/or their updates; d) adequate knowledge of the EMAR system applicable to military aviation as well as its specificities compared to the EASA PARTs environment, applicable to civil aviation; e) adequate knowledge in defining military airworthiness certification criteria and airworthiness codes to propose changes and amendments to the EMACC; adequate knowledge of civil and military certification procedures, especially in the definition of Type Certification Basis (TCB) to improve the usability of the EMACC Handbook and Guidebook. g) in-depth knowledge of the typical organisation, responsibilities, tasks, staff competence, processes & procedures of an Airworthiness Authority competent in Initial/Continued/Continuing Airworthiness domains.
Generational renewal in agriculture – exploring which characteristics could increase youth demand for farming - This contract aims to collect primary data through on-line surveys, focus group discussions, semi-structured in-depth interview and online experiments that will inform the implementation of actions that make farming more attractive to young people both with and without farming background. The Commission will prepare draft version of all materials to be used in the data collection (questionnaires, discussion guides, and experimental designs). The contractor shall provide suggestions for improvement; program the surveys and experiments in their on-line survey platform of choice; recruit participants, assure completion of the tasks by the selected sample sizes meeting data quality, provide digital versions of the data; and report on data characteristics together with lessons learnt during the process.
AI for Public Good (Health): Innovative AI-powered cancer imaging solutions for breast and prostate diagnosis - The purpose of this call for tenders is to develop and test AI-powered solutions for the benefit of the EU as well as wider communities and third countries. The call has two lots, on AI for Cancer imaging (LOT1) and on AI for Electric grid optimisation (LOT2). LOT 1 will explore and demonstrate how AI-powered solutions applied to EU cancer imaging data can be further fine-tuned and applied in other locations and settings covering a large variety of populations, without transferring the underlying sensitive health data. It has two predefined use-cases, breast cancer and prostate cancer.

artificial intelligence act: technical assistance for ai safety - These lots all share a similar tasks and services: - The organisation of multiple risk modelling workshops together with the AI Office, producing a risk model, risk scenarios, as well as corresponding thresholds, informing further work on evaluations. - The development of newly evaluation tools that are private to the Commission. - The onboarding of existing evaluations that are publicly available into the developed risk framework. - The creation of a reference procedure and reporting template for doing risk assessment with respect to the developed evaluations. - Ad hoc and on demand services for complex evaluations, including for example red-teaming and uplift studies. - A risk monitoring service in the form of regular briefings on new developments (e.g. models, risk sources, elicitation techniques, mitigation, incidents) to complement existing AI Office monitoring actions.
