In addition to Research and Innovation, Engineering expertise plays a crucial role in providing technical management of the Agency's equipment and services throughout their lifecycle. This includes design, consultation, testing, verification, and validation, as well as troubleshooting, knowledge management, and advising on future acquisition and use. Pre–commercial procurement (PCP) to buy R&D (research and development) services to solve circular economy challenges defined by the participating cities.-This contract notice invites interested operators to submit tenders to this PCP procurement. The procurement is open on equal terms to all types of operators that fulfil the requirements set out in section 3 of the tender document 1 (Request for Tenders) which defines the eligibility of tenderers, exclusion and selection criteria. The procurement aims to trigger new solutions to be developed and tested to address two challenges that correspond to an overarching need to increase the number of concrete practices in the Baltic Sea region that would drive the transition to circular economy. As the common challenge exists of a number of sub-challenges, the procurement is divided into 2 lots as described below in sections for Lots 1 and 2, each corresponding to one sub-challenge. Each of these lots will be split into 2 phases. The CCC project highlights the immense potential of the cultural and creative sectors and industries in the transition to a more circular society and believes that innovations to speed up the circular transition would benefit from the inclusion of these stakeholders in developing the solutions. Shipborne VTOL UAS deployment with data fusion and integration services - The surveillance of the EU’s land and sea borders is a fundamental component of the European integrated Border Management (EIBM) as identified by the Multiannual Strategic Policy for EIBM 2023-2027 . Border surveillance requires effective operational measures taken by Frontex and Member States’ border management authorities. The Technical and Operational Strategy for EIBM states that these measures should be intelligence-driven and risk-based, drawing on multi-domain sensor networks. The multipurpose surveillance-oriented approach, as described in the Capability Roadmap of the EBCG , will require the deployment of integrated, interoperable and inter-connected capabilities that will enable persistent border surveillance, including unmanned systems such as UAS and satellites. Integrated solution for border surveillance combining shipborne Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) with Vertical Take-off and Landing (VTOL) with data fusion and integration from additional sources has the objective to provide an enhanced level of detail and accuracy in understanding border activity, thereby enabling more effective surveillance and response. Based on operational capability requirements and previous research efforts, through this Pilot Project the Agency intends to continue evaluating unmanned systems technologies and their capabilities in delivering integrated aerial maritime surveillance, while assessing operational performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability. EUSPA-OP-25-25 EUSPA Communication Services - An open procedure is planned to be launched by the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA) in due course for provision of integrated communication services. The scope of the Framework Contract (FWC) to result from the procedure will include Editorial, Web, Graphics, Multimedia, and Public and Media Outreach activities focusing on EU Space.
